The electroencephalography (EEG) requires the use of electrodes as a vital part of the test. These surface electrodes are attached to the patient’s scalp, forehead, and cheeks to enable the recording and characterization of seizures or other sudden activities.

It is important to recognize a potential complication that might be skin breakdown at the electrode sites. During the webinar we will investigate what skin breakdown is, how to recognize it and how to approach it. There will also be a focus on the patient's management and some precautions to avoid it.
